		<description>I had read your origin on Mistress Mary (Mary Mary), and I noticed you were talking about the wrong Mary. The rhyme is originally about &quot;Bloody&quot; Mary Tudor (I). Her &quot;garden&quot; refers to the grave/graveyards that contained dead Protestants that were tortured on her orders (when they did not become Catholics); The &quot;silver bells and cockleshells&quot; refer to instruments of torture; and her &quot;maids all in a row&quot; are about the &quot;Maid&quot; or better known as the guillotine.</description>
